KC100 Art Space reimagines what a building lobby can be. Situated on the ground floor of the KC100 building at 100 Kwai Cheong Road — between Kwai Hing and Kwai Fung MTR stations in Kwai Chung — this dedicated visual arts space turns the everyday thoroughfare of a working commercial building into a free, public gallery. Rather than expecting the community to come to art, KC100 brings art to the community: temporary exhibitions rotate through the space throughout the year, greeting tenants, visitors and passers-by as they move through the building. The space has become a welcoming platform for both emerging and established artists, giving work a highly visible home in one of Hong Kong's most authentic neighbourhoods — proof that art doesn't need white walls to find an audience.
