Alisan Fine Art

Gallery · Hong Kong

Founded in the 1980s by Alice King, Alisan Fine Arts is one of the most historic galleries in Hong Kong, recognised for its active promotion of contemporary Chinese art and New Ink art. Its mission is to promote international cultural exchange and support a new generation of Chinese artists worldwide. With two locations in Hong Kong and the opening, in 2023, of a new gallery in New York, the gallery has strengthened its international presence. In 2024, Alisan Atelier, a concept gallery designed as a versatile space for art, opened in theSouthside of Hong Kong. Aware of the importance of intercultural exchange, Alisan Fine Arts has brought Chinese art to the West and vice versa. Through its collaboration with the Le French May festival, the gallery has brought internationally renowned Western artists such as Marc Chagall, Jean Degottex, and Fabienne Verdier to the city. Its relationships with major institutions have allowed the gallery to place Chinese artists into the most important collections in the world, such as the British Museum, the M+ in Hong Kong, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and various art museums in Beijing and Shanghai.
