Founded in Hong Kong in 2016 by French expatriates and photography advocates Vanessa Franklin and Xavier Mahé, Boogie Woogie Photography is a pioneering gallery and creative platform dedicated exclusively to the photographic medium. The gallery takes its distinctive name from Piet Mondrian’s iconic painting Broadway Boogie Woogie and the energetic blues music that inspired it. Operating with a core mission to respond to the growing demand for fine art photographic prints in Asia, it acts as an incubator and collaborative launchpad for collectors, institutions, and artists looking to develop significant photography projects across the region. In its exhibition history, the gallery has built a stellar reputation from its spacious loft in the Wong Chuk Hang art hub by bridging local heritage with global masters.
