Flowers Gallery

Gallery · Hong Kong

Flowers Gallery was originally founded in London in 1970 by the pioneering British gallerist Angela Flowers. Starting from modest beginnings in an attic space in central London, the gallery grew into a major international powerhouse in the contemporary and modern art world, expanding over the decades to multiple permanent locations in London and New York. Today, the institution is led by Angela’s son, Matthew Flowers, who serves as CEO. Embracing Hong Kong's booming art landscape, the gallery expanded its global footprint by opening a dedicated space in the creative hub of Sheung Wan. Since its inception, the primary mission of Flowers Gallery has been to firmly support and nurture living international contemporary artists and distinct artistic estates across a diverse spectrum of media. A core pillar of its philosophy is longevity, establishing deep, multi-decade relationships with its artists to sustain their long-term creative development. With a history spanning well over 900 exhibitions worldwide, the gallery program focuses heavily on high-profile survey shows, recurring thematic platforms, and international art fairs. Its Hong Kong branch bridges established global practices with the local art market, offering an intimate yet globally-connected platform that showcases critically acclaimed contemporary painting, photography, and sculpture.
