Established in 2022, SC Gallery is a dynamic contemporary art space founded by veteran Hong Kong journalist, author, and artist Sharon Cheung Po-Wah. Drawing from Cheung’s deep roots in media and her own artistic training, the gallery operates with a distinct mission to serve as an experimental incubator and launchpad for local creators who are actively reshaping the city's complex visual landscape. In its exhibition history, the gallery has utilized its flexible warehouse space to empower up-and-coming talent and mid-career artists to execute highly ambitious, site-specific installations and multimedia projects that critically engage with modern social issues. Beyond its strong dedication to local curation, SC Gallery has quickly positioned itself on the global stage, bridging the gap between Hong Kong creatives and the international art market through high-profile participation at major international art fairs like Art Basel Hong Kong, as well as showcases spanning Europe and the Middle East.
