Originally founded in London in 1985 by pioneering art dealer Anna Maria Rossi, and joined in 1988 by her son, Fabio Rossi, Rossi & Rossi is a world-renowned gallery that has served as a premier authority on both classical and contemporary Asian art for over four decades. The gallery operates under a dual mission: to cultivate deep academic rigor, preservation, and appreciation for classical Himalayan, Indian, and Southeast Asian art, while simultaneously pioneering a platform for contemporary artists from the Asia-Pacific region. Its exhibition history is highly distinguished, notably acting as one of the first Western galleries to champion contemporary Tibetan art, alongside representing underrepresented voices from regions like Cambodia. Rossi & Rossi expanded to Hong Kong in 2013, establishing itself as a vital pillar of the Wong Chuk Hang arts district (with a main gallery designed by BEAU Architects, as well as a dedicated classical space on Hollywood Road), where it continues to bridge ancient eastern traditions with the global contemporary art market.
