Soluna Fine Art is proud to present Letter to Myself, a duo exhibition by Korean artist Lee Ja-Young and Hong Kong artist Rosalyn Ng. Bringing together two female abstract artists, the exhibition invites viewers to glimpse the intimate workings of the artists' inner worlds while exploring how each translates emotions and thoughts into visual form. Approaching the canvas as a space for intimacy and self-directed dialogue, like writing a letter to themselves, both artists use their works to pause and reflect on life. Lee Ja-Young elevates the brushstrokes into a philosophical tool that channels perception and sensory experience. Slowly unfolding lived emotions in a single stroke onto the canvas, allowing them to fade gently into the surrounding space. Her latest series, Itself, utilizes rhythmic brushstrokes and a striking palette anchored by magenta to create a space where opposing thoughts quietly coexist, embodying her exploration of life and inner self. Rosalyn Ng’s paintings are intimately intertwined with her personal life, capturing fleeting moments of introspection through textured brushstrokes and vibrant hues. Her latest works mark a profound evolution as she embraces the beautiful chaos of balancing motherhood and her artistic practice. Weaving spontaneity into her compositions, she uses expansive movement, refined strokes, and rich earthy tones to transform raw emotion into landscapes of clarity and quiet grace. Both abstract artists present a compelling dialogue on the nature of memory and personal evolution.
