ONCE UPON A TIME

Exhibition · F2T Gallery · Milano

F2T Gallery is pleased to announce Once Upon A Time, a group exhibition curated in collaboration with Amanita bringing together works by Francesco Cima, Ana Cristina, Leonardo Meoni, Keisuke Tada, Justin Bradshaw and the Italian old master Luigi Zuccheri. The exhibition is a special summer show that will take place in the unique location of Castello Brown, the historic sixteenth-century residence that presides over Portofino’s iconic piazzetta, offering a singular setting where history, landscape, and contemporary artistic practice converge. Set within the unique context of the Portofino promontory, the works enter into dialogue with the powerful presence of the surrounding landscape, drawing upon the rhythms, textures, and atmospheres of a territory where nature and cultural heritage have long coexisted. Characterized by a palette of warm, earthy tones, the paintings resonate with the chromatic qualities of the Ligurian landscape and the material presence of the historic interiors. The exhibition unfolds as a meditation on place and memory, engaging with the layered character of Castello Brown itself, whose architecture and surfaces bear the patina of time. Echoes of the past emerge throughout the presentation, not as nostalgic references but as living traces that continue to shape the perception of the present. The exhibition also opens a dialogue with the legacy of Luigi Zuccheri (1904- 1974), whose singular vision of the natural world remains a significant point of reference within the history of twentieth-century Italian art. Rather than a direct homage, the encounter with Zuccheri’s work offers a framework through which to consider shared sensibilities: an attentive observation of nature, a fascination with its transformative forces, and a poetic engagement with memory, metamorphosis, and the passage of time.
