Controlled Chaos & Intricate Details I’ve always been drawn to the balance between order and mess. As a contemporary paper artist, my work is built on that exact contrast. What looks like random chaos from a distance is actually a highly deliberate, painstaking process up close. I cut, layer, and assemble pieces of paper by hand to create deep, multi-dimensional narratives. It’s an exercise in patience and a celebration of texture, where every single layer tells a tiny piece of a larger story. Whether I’m working on an original mixed-media canvas in my Grand Bend studio or guiding others through a watercolor workshop, my goal is the same: to create something unexpected and invite people to take a closer look.
